Destination engagement session inspirations: Vienna, Dresden, Positano
Vienna, Austria
Since it’s almost too close to my hometown Budapest, I almost scratched it from this list of destinations… but if you haven’t been to Vienna yet, we should go together!
On the long list of the cities I have never lived in, I know Vienna the best. I have been there so many times, I would have lost counting so long ago… luckily I never started counting in the first place! :)
These last couple of years I have been visiting Vienna almost every month, for engagement sessions, meetings with local associates and prospective clients, for weddings of course… and for fun. My favorite parts are the Naschmarkt (where I usually stay in one of the private en-suit rooms of the Wombats hostel and/or grab lunch at NENI) and the Prater: this funfair is a very important place of my childhood, lots of memories, and so many things remained unchanged since I was a kid.
Also, if you are into museums and private palaces on every corner and beautifully restored castles, Vienna is the place to go!
I love how this city takes advantage of it’s river… it’s occupied by huge green parks instead of the two-lane highway we see in Budapest! I also love how half of the city center is full of illustrious buildings and the other is just a big party district, full of graffiti, pubs and all kinds of entertainment. Easily accessible by train from Budapest, I hope I will return soon!
Positano, Italy
Since I usually suggest to all my couples that for the engagement session we should do something they love to do, I ended up going to Italy with Réka and Andris. Spending 3 days together traveling is the best way to make new friends… and to create a truly heartful set of photos. Love is in the air. Love is in the sea. Love is in the baked spaghetti carbonara I had for breakfast for 3 days!
